Terms of Service
1 · Acceptance of terms
By accessing kuroko.cc you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service. Some features (signing in, posting comments, voting) require explicit acceptance via the sign-up flow.
If you're using kuroko on behalf of an organisation, the organisation is bound by these terms too.
2 · The service
Kuroko is a free, non-commercial anime discovery and viewing platform. It provides:
- A curated catalog of currently-airing and recently-finished anime.
- Per-episode streaming via reverse-proxied upstream providers.
- Personal library features (watchlist, history, ratings) for signed-in members.
Kuroko is provided "as is" — we make no guarantee of uptime, availability of any specific episode, or compatibility with any specific device. Stream sources occasionally go offline; we rotate providers and add new ones as needed.
3 · Accounts
You must provide a valid email to register. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately via the contact form if you believe your account has been compromised.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, that show clear abusive behaviour (scraping, credential stuffing, vote brigading) or that haven't been logged into for 24+ months.
4 · Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise bulk-fetch kuroko pages, the catalog JSON or the stream API.
- Re-stream, redistribute, or sell access to kuroko's reverse-proxied streams.
- Bypass, attempt to bypass, or help others bypass any rate limits, geo-restrictions, or signing mechanisms.
- Use kuroko to upload or distribute malware, spam, or any content that infringes third-party rights.
- Vote-brigade, comment-spam, or otherwise manipulate community features.
Automated clients with legitimate use cases (researchers, hobby projects) should identify themselves in the User-Agent header and rate-limit themselves to ≤ 1 request per second. We're happy to whitelist specific IPs on request.
5 · Intellectual property
All anime artwork, descriptions, character names, voice actor credits and stream content belong to their respective rights holders — kuroko claims no ownership of any of it. The kuroko codebase, theme, layout, copy and design are © the kuroko authors.
Kuroko embeds TMDB metadata under their terms of use, AniList data under their API terms and TVDB screenshots via AniZip. Stream content is provided by upstream providers and is their responsibility to license — kuroko is a search-and-discovery layer only.
6 · Stream sources & takedowns
Kuroko does not host, store, upload or transmit any video content. The /media/<token> URLs you see in the network tab are reverse-proxy passes to upstream providers chosen by the api.stream fan-out — kuroko signs the token, the upstream serves the bytes.
If you are a rights holder and believe an upstream provider is infringing your copyright, send a notice via the contact form with the copyright topic. We will:
- Remove the affected episodes from the kuroko catalog within 24 hours.
- Block the specific upstream provider from being fanned-out to.
- Hold the cache of removed streams for 7 days (for audit) then purge.
This doesn't constitute legal advice — for formal notices please include your name, the work claimed, the URL on kuroko, your electronic signature and a good-faith statement. We'll reply within 24 hours acknowledging receipt.
7 · No warranty
Kuroko is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind — express or implied. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, virus-free or that any specific episode will remain available.
8 · Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, kuroko shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue or profits, arising out of your use of — or inability to use — the service.
9 · Changes to these terms
If we materially change these terms, we'll bump the "Last updated" date and post a notice on the home page for 30 days. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance. We won't retroactively apply adverse changes to behaviour that occurred before the change.
10 · Contact
